Chinese New Year

2nd class had a very busy day learning all about the year of the snake. They talked about Chinese traditions and how people celebrate the new year. They also made these wonderful paper fan snakes!

Mr. Kearns' 5th Class have been busy making traditional St. Brigid's Crosses. This is a memory that most people still have from school and the children enjoyed the chance to keep this old tradition alive.

VR Revolutions

Mr. Kearns' 5th class have been learning about various revolutions such as the American, French and 1798 Irish Rebellion. They were able to use the VR headsets to explore major historic events such as Bastille Day, the signing of the American Declaration of Independence and the Boston Tea Party. A great resource to have.
