Junior & Senior Infant Assembly

Our Junior Camogie team got their season underway with a spirited performance against a very strong Divine Word team. This was the debut for our new jerseys kindly sponsored by Smyth Recruitment. New Storytelling Area

Before Easter we had a fantastic new addition to our Sensory Garden in our storytelling area. The benches and readers chair are made from recycled plastic and are a great environment for our classes to enjoy reading and storytelling time. Check out third class enjoying it below.

Camogie

Congratulations to our senior camogie team who secured an excellent win today with a hard fought victory in tough conditions. As part of the Junior achievement programme, Ms Conlon’s 4th class visited Elavon in Cherrywood to present their business ideas to "The Dragons Den". The children had amazing business ideas and were brilliant in presenting them to the Dragons. Well done!

Congratulations to the 3 Hickey children for their recent international performances for Ireland in Gymnastics. Our boys team got their season underway with a good win against local rivals Divine Word in Hermitage on Thursday evening. Our girls team had their second game Wednesday but unfortunately lost out after a very tight game against Scoil Lorcáin. Our junior teams get their campaigns underway next week.

STEM in 3rd Class

Mr. Kearns' 3rd class have been busy doing some STEM activities this week. They were set the challenge of creating the tallest free standing tower they could using just marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti. Some fantastic thinking from all of the kids with many unique and interesting towers created.
