5th and 6th Class Assembly

Our Well-Being committee have been busy organising a lovely, mindful week for staff and children here in St.Olaf's NS. The children will have the opportunity to practice yoga and meditation throughout the week with a 'pyjama day' fundraiser taking place for Pieta on Friday. We are all really looking forward to the week ahead!

3rd Class projects

Mr. Kearns' class have been hard at work using the "Book Creator" app on the ipads for their projects lately. Check out the healthy eating menus/recipes they made here. Below are images of them presenting their recent county projects.

Girls Soccer

Our new girls soccer team are hard at work training for their inaugural season. Many thanks to St. Mary's F.C. for the use of Balally Hill and to Anthony and Jessica Kelly for their sponsorship of a new set of jerseys for the team.

Microsoft Visit

A big thank you to Islam from Microsoft who visited Mr. Kearns and Ms. Geraghty's class recently. The kids got to try out coding their own game and really enjoyed it.

Peace Proms

On Saturday night our wonderful choir took place in the annual "Peace Proms" in the RDS. A fantastic night was had by all. Well done to all the kids, Ms. Brady and Ms. Campbell for all their hard-work in preparation for this.

Garda Band

On Friday we were lucky to welcome the Garda Band to the school for the first time. They played many great hits like "Happy" and "Dance Monkey" but the children really enjoyed "Ireland's Call" and "Amhrán na bhFiann" ahead of the big game tonight.

Balance Bikes

Thank you to DunLaoighaire Rathdown Sports Partnership for a delivery of 10 balance bikes and helmets. These bikes will be used by the smaller children in the school during PE and break times. Our school Active Team from 5th & 6th have been great bike buddies to our little pedal pals.

Visit from Athlone Town

Last Friday we had some VIP guests to St. Olaf's. We were delighted to welcome Courtney Maguire and Melissa O' Kane, from Ireland's best women's soccer team, Athlone Town, and their manager, John Sullivan.
