Rory Keating from Inland Fisheries visited Mr. Kearns 5th class to talk about conservation and biodiversity in our rivers, lakes and seas around Ireland. He discussed the many species of fish in Ireland and how we can protect them. Children learned about water pollution and how they can tell if rivers have good water quality. Rory will be returning to visit after Easter where they will go on a visit to the Dodder to test the quality of the water and see what species of fish are living in the Dodder as well as learning about the life cycle of the Salmon.
