Skipathon

St. Olaf’s NS was full of energy and excitement for Skipathon 2026, another fantastic event organised by our dedicated Parents’ Association. While the weather meant a change of plans on the day, it certainly did not dampen spirits as students across the school enjoyed a fun-filled day of activity, movement and community spirit, all in support of our new AstroTurf pitch.

Due to the wet weather, students from Junior Infants to 4th Class took part in the event in the school hall. The hall was buzzing as classes enjoyed skipping, hula hooping and dancing, with everyone getting involved and having great fun while staying active.

The planned Colour Run for 5th and 6th Class was postponed and instead took place on Sports Day when the weather improved. Students embraced the occasion with enthusiasm, taking part in a vibrant and colourful run that provided a memorable highlight to the end of the school year.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and support the event, from the Parents’ Association and staff to the families who sponsored and encouraged our students. Your support helped make Skipathon 2026 such a wonderful success.

All funds raised from this year’s Skipathon will go directly towards the development of our new AstroTurf pitch, an exciting addition that will benefit our students for many years to come.
