Odd Socks Day

Last Friday, our school community came together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day in the most joyful and colourful way.

The sight of bright, mismatched odd socks throughout the school brought smiles to everyone’s faces and sparked wonderful conversations about inclusion, kindness, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. It was heartwarming to see such enthusiasm from all of the children as they embraced the spirit of the day.

We are absolutely delighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, we raised a fantastic €885.80 in support of The Down Syndrome Centre in Sandyford. This is a truly meaningful contribution to an organisation that supports so many children and families, including our very own Charlie in 3rd class.

The day was filled with learning, laughter, and a real sense of community. Most importantly, it reminded us all of the importance of inclusion and celebrating differences.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, wore their odd socks, and contributed so generously. Your support made this day not only fun, but impactful.
