Gaelic Football

St. Olaf’s has a long and proud tradition in Cumann na mBunscol Áth Cliath winning 16 of 32 final appearances in the last 40 years.  We also enjoy a rewarding relationship with our local GAA Club, Naomh Olaf which was founded in one of the prefabs in the school yard in 1981. The school avails of the clubs' pitches for home matches. Many past pupils have went on to represent Dublin GAA with distinction at various levels including multiple All Ireland and All Star winner David Byrne. The Gaelic football season runs from September to October every year with the school entering Senior Boys, Junior Boys and Senior Girls and Junior Girls teams.

For queries relating to the team you can contact Mr. Kavanagh (Senior Boys) Mr. Maher(Senior Girls) Mr. Duignan(Junior Boys) and Mr. Kearns (Junior Girls). For the 2024 season, all teams train on Monday, Juniors have games on Tuesday, Girls on Wednesday and Boys on Thursday.
